Why a Pudelpointer for your next hunting dog?
Pudelpointers are a cross of a German poodle and an English pointer. German hunting poodles are best known for their retrieving abilities in water as well as their high intelligence. The English pointer has a strong point with a superior nose. The combination of both is arguably the best versatile hunting dog available today.
Do Pudelpointers make great family pets?
Yes. As well as being fantastic hunting companions, they are kind natured and extremely loving dogs. Pudelpointers do well with the entire family, including young children.
Are Pudelpointers good swimmers?
Pudelpointers come from German hunting Poodles. They are best known for their retrieving abilities in water. Swimming comes natural to Pudelpointers.
Do Pudelpointers have any special grooming needs?
Pudelpointers are hypoallergenic, making their coat low maintenance (little shedding) that requires little upkeep.
What kind of coats do Pudelpointers have?
Coats vary in length, from a wired to a smooth coat. Colors can range from different shades of brown to black.
What is the average height and weight of a Pudelpointer?
Males: 25 – 28 inches; 46 – 67 pounds. Females: 23 – 26 inches; 45 – 67 pounds.
Puppy F.A.Q.
How can i buy from you?
We accept a deposit of $500 to be placed on our waiting list. The total cost for a puppy varies per litter.

When can we take our new puppy home?
Puppies are sent home to families no later than 8 weeks. This gives the puppy time spent with the mother and the rest of the litter. Doing this starts the foundation for the puppies’ social skills as well as learning life skills from the mother.
How Are they delivered?
We offer recommendations for both plane and ground transporters. Contact us so that we can discuss this further and get an estimate.
Are the tails docked and dew claws removed?
Tails will be docked at 1/3 of the tail between 3 – 5 days after birth. We do not remove the dew claws of our puppies.
Are puppies vaccinated?
Our puppies will make regular visits to the vet to ensure good health as well as receiving their shots. Puppies receive shots based on the age of each puppy. Between ages 6 weeks - 17 weeks, puppies receive core vaccines (DHLPP). Rabies vaccination will be giving to puppies that are at least 14 weeks of age. All puppies will be dewormed.
